Abeln, Magy, Underberg & Associates has been named to the Forbes' 2026 America's Best Executive Recruiting Firms list. (See https://www.forbes.com/lists/best-executive-recruiting-firms/.) We are proud to have been recognized on this list in the past and honored again to be on this year’s list. In general, this was and is totally unexpected (although they told us in April to watch for the list publication on May 5th).
How, You Might Ask, Does This Come As A Surprise?
Each year, Forbes partners with Statista, an analytics firm to develop its list of America’s Best Executive Recruiting Firms. The rankings are based primarily on large-scale surveys conducted with recruiters, HR leaders, hiring managers and, in some cases, candidates who have worked with recruiting firms. Participants are asked to recommend firms they believe deliver strong results, exceptional service and high-quality candidate matches. Firms are not permitted to nominate themselves, and the rankings are intended to reflect the reputation and recommendations of professionals actively involved in the hiring process.
Factors such as peer recognition, client satisfaction and visibility within the executive search community all contribute to the results. For recent lists, Forbes and Statista have referenced survey participation numbers of at least 16,000 respondents (the range has been up to 49,000 respondents depending on the year and the categories included; there was no data available on how many people were surveyed for this year’s list).
